Get Lost Travel
The GLTG Team is more than a team, we are a family. We are also a dynamic collective of energetic people who bonded over a love for travel. We turn our dreams and ideas into reality, creating inspiring adventures for travellers of all walks of life to enjoy. We share similar philosophies and values and with a goal to become the “Best Place in the World to Work” we have created a lively and positive workplace where people feel a sense of belonging and freedom to express their ideas, thoughts and feelings.
GLT Tour GUides
We believe our guides are the heart and soul of our great company and our passengers agree with overwhelmingly positive TripAdvisor reviews specifically mentioning the quality of the Guides and our onboard digital feedback which rates them a pretty decent 9.5/10. They welcome people onboard, sharing their passion and knowledge of the areas they visit with unrivalled enthusiasm and care.
The GLTG go above and beyond to ensure our Guides are the best in the business with new Guides undergoing a vigorous induction and training program and ongoing professional development such as Defensive Driving Courses which Guides undertook in 2018.
Afterall, the quality of a guide is the key to a passenger having a good experience, to having an absolutely fantastic one.

Favourite GLTG tour & why: 3 Day Great Ocean Road & Grampians Tour. More time to explore different climates & environments as well as get to know other people on a deeper level.
Melbourne is the best city in the world because… Melbourne is pretty ace but it really is hard to choose between Perth, Sydney or Melbourne. They really are brilliantly unique and special in their own right.
Best international holiday so far: The Italian Amalfi Coast
If I weren’t so damn good at my job, I’d probably be… a stuntman
What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working? I’m always & never working, my life is work & play all rolled into one. I absolutely love doing what I do every day. There is no clear cut line in the sand, which is the way I firmly believe life should be lived. I can’t fathom how or why anyone would have it any other way.
What are some of the causes you care about most? Responsible tourism, mental health, environmental issues, clean energy, protecting the Great Barrier Reef, mentoring other entrepreneurs to be the best they can, supporting my GLTG family, creating phenomenal experiences for our travellers, using business as a vehicle to make the world a better place than what we found it.

After school I….. studied, worked and taught audio production, ended up falling into IT in a national systems admin role then threw it all away to become a tour guide and to ride bikes!
Favourite GLTG tour & why: Hands down the 8 Day Ultimate Bikes, Beers & Bakeries Road Trip! It’s my baby. My dream tour for years and to have it off the ground makes me one mighty happy chappy! Why is it so good though? Riding mountain bikes every day, visiting the best craft breweries in Vic, eating some of the finest bakery lunches all in my favourite part of Australia; Victoria’s High Country.
Melbourne is the best city in the world because… of its diversity. Food and cultures mix with a thriving music scene and sporting events matched with the best coffee baristas in the world!
Best international holiday so far: Riding my bike 8,200km from coast to coast of the US with my brother.
If I weren’t so damn good at my job, I’d probably be… Living out of the back of a van travelling Australia as a nomad.
What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working? Riding my bike! Wait… That is work! Oh well. Still my answer.
What are some of the causes you care about most? Palm Oil free, environmental and population sustainability & waste reduction.

I travelled around the world meeting amazing people and having amazing adventures. I fell in love with travel and so began my entry into this addictive industry.

After school I….. a love of travel led me to study Tourism & Outdoor Recreation Leadership. Positions in Field Operations & Outdoor Education Leadership took me to all corners of Victoria working with school children through to corporate groups. In 2005 I moved to Central Australia becoming an Outback Tour Guide, which began a 10-year odyssey of touring throughout Australia. I gained extensive experience as a Driver/Guide for Wayward Bus, Adventure Tours Australia, Oz Experience, Topdeck Travel & Under Down Under Tours until finally arriving back in Melbourne bringing my wealth of knowledge & experience to Wildlife Tours Australia and the Get Lost Travel Group firstly as a guide, then in January 2016 moving into Operations, and in 2018 becoming the Melbourne Operations Manager for The Get Lost Travel Group.
Favourite GLTG tour & why: Mornington Peninsula, great food, great wine & great views
Melbourne is the best city in the world because… It has a little bit of everything, and it’s my home.
Best international holiday so far: 6 week African Safari from Nairobi to Capetown in 2012, an amazing experience which has yet to be equalled.
If I weren’t so damn good at my job, I’d probably be… still be punching out awesome tour experiences in Australia somewhere.

After school I….. worked in hospitality and events back home in Finland for a few years to save money to come to Australia. I finally made it here 2015, travelled the East Coast and then got a job in a river cruise company in Melbourne. I really wanted to get a career in tourism so I then worked for a year in a travel agency before landing a job with GLTG!
Favourite GLTG tour & why: Would have to be Mornington Peninsula. I love that we visit small suppliers, the scenery is beautiful and both food and wine on the day is amazing.
Melbourne is the best city in the world because… it has such an amazing selection of cafes and restaurants, always a new place to discover! We also have so many unique places surrounding us whenever you feel like escaping the city. After almost 3 years living here my list of places to visit just keeps getting longer!

If I weren’t so damn good at my job, I’d probably be… a full time environmental activist!
What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working? Eating something insanely good and unhealthy
What are some of the causes you care about most? Would be definitely all things sustainable. I’ve started GLTG’s non profit arm ‘Trash Bags On Tour’ with my coworker and friend Kat and that initiative has become my baby.
